We often prefer to build native apps, given the control, speed, and flexibility in development - however in some cases the Hybrid app is a better solution. There are a lot of details to assess when choosing native vs. hybrid, and many things to know.
In the end, the hybrid frameworks have matured and do amazing things for developers. Being able to have one code project and manage multiple platforms from it is a dream for developers. However, that dream is often competing with the tradeoffs inherent in hybrid apps. It takes long for new iOS or Android features to be supported, it is faster and more flexible when building native, and so on.
With that said, it can also be an easier and more cost effective solution to build hybrid apps.
