We are a world class team of PHP developers, and proud of it.
We started working with PHP in the early 2000's, when the latest version was PHP3. Times were simple, PHP was easy to use, though riddled with serious issues which took a long time to resolve and ensure security. I'm glad we've stuck with it, as it's matured and is now a tremendous language and community spanning the world.
At it's heart, is the Open Source movement, which ensures good technology and support is in the hands of everyone who wants to put the effort into participating.
More than that, though, PHP makes building things easy on the web. There is a huge number of developers and sites built on PHP.
We work on a variety of frameworks, such as:
- Laravel
- Code Igniter
- Symphony
- CakePHP
- Yii
- Zend
When given a choice, we'll typically choose Laravel and build an API backend and a decoupled front-end (javascript web app, mobile app, or other). This is the modern architecture, and one that PHP makes easy.
What started out as Personal Home Page, has evolved into PHP Hypertext Preprocessor.
A lot of clients come to up with existing software that needs maintenance or, in some cases, to be revamped. We are comfortable working in existing codebases and helping to leverage what you can from your current software. No 2 software vendors thing exactly the same, however the same fundamental programming principles and PHP language nuances exist to help ease the pain of taking over an existing software project.
When you build using PHP. you are part of a global community with one of the most simple infrastructure setups to run sites from. Lots of huge companies use PHP and even contribute back to the community. Facebook was a huge part in performance improvements that made their way into PHP 7, and they're just one contributing company.
It's a great technology and community that provides excellent documentation and engagement to help find solutions to the challenges developers face when programming software.
