Not all projects are the same, however the foundation is quite similar across most of them. That's why we choose Drupal.
What's not to like, you have 100% control of your data, and can use it in any way that you'd like. If you'd like to change platforms, you can get all of your content exported in no time. If you need to update your constant contact list, or integrate your site with other systems, Drupal say's come on in and get your stuff.
If your vendor isn't performing up to par, then call another one; there are many to choose from who can pick-up and run with your site.
